Dates for 2025 Season are Weekends & School Holidays from 2nd May - 28th September
Established in 2024, Wooders Campsite was approached by the Biking Community here in Dorset, wanting to set up a Festival to support the amazing Docbike Charity and the awesome work they do, saving lives on the roads everyday! So of course - we said YES!
Our first year was so incredible it quickly became "a thing" and due to popular demand - we're doing it all over again for 2025!
Dorset Bike Festival is a family friendly festival for bikers in the Dorset region. We are dedicated to raising funds for the Docbike charity while providing an exciting line-up of activities, including ride-outs (and ride-ins), demonstrations, educational talks and workshops, live music, amazing stands from the biggest - and smallest - of Bike dealers and Biker traders, delicious food and drink offerings, and family-friendly camping - and glamping - options so you don't necessarily need to bring much more than your family - and your bike! Join us for a thrilling celebration of the biker lifestyle in the beautiful Dorset countryside.
Wooders Campsite is just the most beautiful setting for this Family Friendly Biking event. Somehow we just seem to go together!
With a huge number of dealers, traders and stallholders here as well as loads of Food & Drink vendors and lots of Activities - there really is something for everyone (including the little ones).
Who isn't? We've been extraordinarily lucky to have some amazing people from the Biking community share the load with us on the organising team - including The fabulous teams at Ducati Bournemouth and Moore Speed Racing, Gary Mehson (pictured above) who knows EVERYONE in Biking as well as the guys at Docbike - more about them below!
On top of these guys we also have a whole host of traders on board with us!
The DocBike charity combines a highly qualified (consultant-level) doctor or critical care paramedic with two wheels to reduce deaths and serious injuries on our roads due to motorcycle collisions.
Wherever possible, this doctor or paramedic also works on the local air ambulance. It is part of their everyday job, to treat and save the most severely injured and sick patients and help them to reach the hospital alive.
When motorcyclists are involved in a collision, often the injuries are catastrophic, and no amount of medical care can save a person’s life. This is why a lot of the DocBike charity’s time is invested in preventing motorcyclists from being in a collision in the first place.
Working together with emergency services all across the UK, it is our aim to have a DocBike associated with every air ambulance charity around the country.
We are a new charity, but the enthusiasm of local bikers, colleagues in the Emergency Services and other agencies throughout the UK means that we are expanding rapidly.
In 2024 we had a fantastic group of Ride-outs leaving from 5 different start lines in Devon, Hampshire, Somerset as well as Dorset travelling through Wiltshire as well!
It was an amazing spectacle and many of our other Docbike friends joined in for the event.
Arriving in to Wooders Campsite, the Ride-out Riders were greeted with Live Music, Traders and Bike Dealers, Activities and there was even Camping and Glamping for those wanting to make a weekend of it.
It was our first year coming in to this Brand new event - the Dorset Bikefest - and it was almost immediately agreed - we have to do it again.
So we're bringing Dorset Bikefest back to you for 2025 where we have already got more Dealers and Traders signing up to be involved and we can't wait to get started on all the planning for the next Ride-outs (or should we say Ride-ins as we're very much staying for the whole weekend next year!)
