Meet the Pounders!
Hi there & Welcome to Wooders!
Heidi, Jez & Eddie own & run this beautiful farm on the edge of Wareham Forest. With the help (ahem) of Heidi & Jez's feral brood - Emily-May (10), Harry (8) and Oliver (5), we have recently started to share this glorious site we have with you - our lovely campers! Working alongside us we have a loyal band of friends and relatives who all have their roles and no doubt you'll see them glide (trudge in wellies) seamlessly through the farm - do feel free to say Hi, we're a very friendly bunch.
The Farm
We are joined by a whole host of animals as you might expect being a rural farm in Dorset. We have chickens and ducks, the odd few sheep, our dog; Bob, as well as Heidi's girls - the cows (lots of those) and our gorgeous Rocky the Horse who has become a firm favourite with everyone who comes to the farm. We have lived and worked in this area for most of our lives and indeed Heidi is a 3rd generation farmer who started off on the farm just down the road! Heidi's passion for farming and the campsite shines out from every part of the site - and as you'll see - the loos are a particular obsession and are kept spotlessly clean! Beware the woman in the yellow gloves! Jez (Heidi's hubby) & Eddie (Heidi's brother), help to keep everything running smoothly. Jez does the rounds to meet everyone as well as deliver fire-pits & wood and can most often be found behind the bar playing with his extraordinary Gin collectinon, whilst Eddie stays behind the scenes chopping wood, bagging up our wood bundles & making fire-pits (he's a talented lad)
